PageGroup, evaluates the market and economy perception of employees with ‘’Job Applicant Confidence Index Survey’’ every quarter of the year. In the survey, which is carried out with ten thousand people in 15 European countries including Türkiye, the first 6 months of 2017 are completed. The majority of those who participated in the survey with 1,700 people in Türkiye in the first half of 2017 consists of employees, jobseekers and seasonal employees with 7 percent.

According to the yearly research, while in 2016 job applicant confidence index was at 52 in Türkiye, in the first half of 2017 it has decreased 1 point.

 

The survey also points out, that 60 percent of the employees in Türkiye relies on the thought, that they will find another job in 3 months. Only 70 percent of them lean towards to work abroad and 16 percent of them find the thought of working in another city in country desirable. 31 percent of the employees want to see an improvement in business and personal life balance rather than an improvement in salary.

 

Career Abroad keeps its appeal

Even if 70 percent of those who attended the Job Applicant Confidence Index Survey lean towards to work abroad only 16 percent of them are open to work in a different city in country and 13 percent do not think of setting up another country or city for their career.

 

Business and Personal Life Balance is gaining importance

31 percent of those who attended to the survey in Türkiye want to see an improvement in business and personal life balance rather than an improvement in salary. The situation looks stable in other European countries. A considerable number of employees in Italy, Germany and France do not think that there will be any change in the balance of their work and private life.

 

Employment perception varies by countries

The perception of the employment market in Europe varies according to the countries. While 22% of employees in Italy and 33% in France think that the employment market is good, 25% in Türkiye share the same opinion. In Germany this rate reaches to 80%.

 

Employees rely on finding a job soon

60% percent of the employees in Türkiye believe that they can find a new job in less than three months. Similar results are observed in continental Europe. 63% in France, 46% in Germany, 35% in Italy, %52 in Netherlands and 53% in Spain think that they can easily find jobs in three months.
